“GF Walk for Water” has been held in Schaffhausen (SUI) on 26 September 2024.
GF Walk for Water is the sensitization and fundraising event of GF Water Foundation, the charity of the Swiss multinational Georg Fischer, which is active with its partners in countries in need of clean, drinkable water for life.
GF Water Foundation and Lions Club Seregno AID, with its World Water Day Photo Contest, are partners in raising awareness, bringing the photographs of the competition to some of the 18 locations of the GF Walk for Water around the world.
Even on a rainy day in Switzerland, a selection of 6 photographs in large print was admired by over 400 participants, employees and sponsors, who traveled 2km with a bucket, filling it halfway, to experience firsthand what millions of people, especially children, are forced to do every day to live, giving up school and a more dignified and happy life.
